Lost Love’s Lament

My heart is shattered, like a vase so fine
Once full of love, now empty and divine
The pieces lay on the ground, cold and bare
A reflection of the love I once shared

The tears I cry, they fall like rain
A never-ending sorrow, like the pain
Of losing someone dear, my heart’s mate
Leaving me with this emptiness, this weight

I search for solace, for a cure
But the ache remains, a constant blur
memories of you, they still linger
A bitter reminder, of what I’ve lost, a stinger

My heart may be broken, but it will mend
With time, and patience, it will ascend
For though love is lost, it will return
And my heart, once again, will burn.
