The Phantom Car of Halloween Night

On All Hallows’ Eve, when children rejoice
and trick-or-treat with smiles and laughter’s voice,
a car awakens from its still repose,
its engine growls to life, defying those who pose.

With screeching tires and a ghastly howl,
this eerie entity leaves the garage as a ghoul;
its painted metal skin glows in the night,
as unsuspecting victims come into sight.

Through dimly lit streets it drives so fast,
leaving terrified shrieks as it swerves past;
the phantom car is on a rampage unbound,
leaving chaos and fear all around.

Red lights glare like the eyes of the beast;
it taunts its prey with a demonic feast;
as those who cross its path meet their doom,
the phantom car’s hunger knows no room.

It turns and twists as if in dance,
a deadly ballet it prances through the trance
of horrified visions that litter the night,
this malevolent spirit seeks to ignite.

With gleeful abandon, it spins its wheels,
mowing down all who try to run and squeal;
for this Halloween fiend, there’ers no reprieve,
as the phantom car dances with the dead leaves.

The moon watches on with a forlorn gaze;
it shines its light upon this terror-filled maze;
while frightened souls desperately try to flee,
the phantom car relentlessly hunts without decree.

As midnight approaches and the eerie glow fades,
this demonic car returns to its slumber abodes;
its lust for life and terror finally quelled,
as dawn breaks upon a world left well-quelled.

The phantom car rests once more in its lair,
to awaken another year without care,
and on the next Halloween’s haunting night,
terror will rise with the living car’s might.
