A Feast of Blessings

The day before Thanksgiving dawns with glee,
As family and friends plan for the great feast.
Much anticipation fills the hearts of all,
For this is a time when we give our thanks to fall.

The star of this grand occasion, oh so dear,
Is the turkey with its glorious golden brown skin.
Crispy and tender, each bite filled with cheer,
As we gather round tables for the feast within.

Gathering together in a place so warm,
Our hearts fill with joy as we share this meal.
Laughter and memories, our spirits to swarm,
In celebration of life, love, and this festive feel.

The table is set with platters galore,
Filled with a variety that none can resist.
From stuffing to cranberries, mashed potatoes and more,
Each dish a delight for our palates insist.

But the true centerpiece of this day in fall,
Is the turkey—magnificent, succulent, grand,
Brought forth with love by our talented chef,
A feast fit for kings; and how we all feast indeed.

As we partake in this bounty before us,
We remember those who have come before,
And the blessing of gathering together thus.
The love in our hearts swells without any more.

In a world where gratitude is so often lost,
Thanksgiving reminds us to count each joy;
As we dig into this turkey that’s sizzling and roasted,
A smile of warmth fills up our hearts like a ploy.

Beneath the warm glow of candlelight,
We raise our glasses in a toast of cheer,
For our families, for friends, and for this delight—
The sumptuous meal that ends every year.

And when the meal comes to its final end,
Turkey leftovers packed for another day’s feast,
We give thanks in the warmth of hearts, family and friends;
A Thanksgiving turkey—the ultimate feast indeed.
