The Decline of Faith in God

Once upon a time, this great land was born
With faith and hope, the people sworn
In God we trust they’d say to one another
A strong foundation, like steel and leather

Prayer in schools, a common sight
Bibles open, guiding children’s light
Families gathered for Sunday service
Worshipping God, a pure reverence

But time has passed, and change comes slow
Secular values now begin to grow
Skepticism rises, faith takes a dive
The Godless agenda begins to thrive

Churches close their doors forevermore
Communities fractured, no longer as before
Children no longer seek the Lord’s grace
A new generation devoid of faith

Moral decline becomes plain to see
Laws bent and broken, humanity flee
Sin is embraced without a thought
In God we trust – a phrase long forgot

The land once strong now crumbles inside
Division rife, the people divided
Godless acts overshadow good deeds
A country lost in its own greed

But hope remains for those who seek
For in darkness, a flicker still peeks
A small flame of faith, yet burning bright
A beacon amidst the endless night

So let us stand together, hand in hand
Protecting our faith, we must take a stand
Pray to God with all our hearts and might
For America’s soul is worth the fight

In these troubled times, may faith prevail
Reclaim this nation, let truth not fail
God bless America, now and forevermore
A land we love, from shore to shore.
