A Poem for Valentines day

Between two hearts that beat as one,
A love so deep it can’t be undone.
With whispers soft and words of gold,
Their tale begins to unfold.
Oh, sweet is the song they sing,
As souls entwined on life’s grand swing.

In the heart of every man and maid,
A longing deep, a love unlaid.
For that one tender caress and loving gaze,
That warms our hearts in a wondrous blaze.
We yearn for someone to understand,
To share our dreams in this grand land.

Then comes the day when fate decides,
Two lovers meet amidst life’s tides.
Their eyes lock, their hands entwine,
And suddenly all feels just fine.
No more lonely nights spent in pain,
For love has come like a gentle rain.

As days turn into weeks and months,
This budding love begins to mount.
From tender words and sweet embrace,
Their love blossoms with each passing phase.
In joy or sorrow, they stand strong,
Hand-in-hand against life’s throng.

But even lovers must endure,
The trials that life can ensure.
Through stormy seas and rocky shores,
They hold on tightly to each other’s cores.
With faith and trust, they face the storm,
Knowing love is their guiding norm.

And when the tempest finally ceases,
The victors stand with increased easiness.
Each trial conquered makes them strong,
A beacon light in life’s vast throng.
They sing a song of victory loud,
Love has won, no longer shrouded.

Yet love demands more than just joy,
It asks for selflessness, like a ploy.
To give without expecting anything back,
Is the highest form of love’s attack.
When one gives up all they have got,
For the other, then love is not forgot.

So let us make this eternal vow,
To love and cherish till end of plough.
In sickness or in health we’ll stand,
Together hand-in-hand on life’s grand strand.
For true love never fades nor dies,
It only grows under heavenly skies.

Thus ends our tale of two hearts bright,
In whom love shone with eternal light.
Their journey long and full of woe,
Yet their bond remained steadfast and strong so.
So here’s to love, that grand old song,
Sung by lovers since time has been long.
